Victorian Leicestershire Yeomanry Cavalry ( LYC ) ( Prince Albert 's Own ) Victorian Officers Silver Plated Large Pattern Button - scarce maker, circa 1840s.

Circa 24mm in diameter, fixed shank and back-marked Hamburger & Co, London. Some minor wear to plate, and tarnishing, light scratch to right. Early button, scarce maker, circa 1840s. See also item 52333.

This unit was 10th in the order of precedence of yeomanry regiments. First raised in 1803.

15th ( King 's Own ) Hussars Officer 's Gilt Buttons, one large and one medium pattern

Circa 22mm and 17mm in diameter, both with fixed shanks, same colour and sharp detail with no wear to gilt or detail. The larger maker marked Firmin & Sons Limited London, the smaller blank reverse. They came together. Worn 1902 - 1922.
