WW2 Home Front - Cornwall WAPC (Womens Auxiliary Police Corps) Enamel Lapel Badge Pin Brooch

Chrome and enamel mufti (off-duty) lapel badge in good condition with no damage to enamel (minor surface scratch only), stamped with issue number to reverse "59" and original pin fittings (some rust to pin). The number of WAPCs was never great, with only 4,000 being in service in 1945. Cornwall is not illustrated in Jon Mills's "Doing Their Bit" but you can find more information on page 78. They were disbanded in 1946. Rare.
