Gilt and enamel lapel badge with buttonhole fitting makers details for Dingley Birmingham. The king's crown to the centre of a white enamelled circlet bearing the title, " On War Service Fairfield " Based on the River Clyde in Glasgow Fairfield 's were well known ship-builders. In very good condition, a few slight stress mark in enamel, but intact and gilt bright.

WW1 The Wounded Stripe - No 4 Provisional Patent
Complete with backing plate, cotter pin and two original lugs. This is exactly 2 inches in length and was authorised for wear by Army Order 249 of August 1916 and this was only issued in this size up to 1922 (discontinued for wear on uniform by Army Order 434 of 1922).
Wound stripes issued in WW2 were only 1.5 inches in length.
