Seen a bit of service wear with some staining to brass back plate and tassel on one bugle string, missing the free floating belt retaining loop. Badge full size as per cap badge but with two hoops (rather than loops) for fixing and having a red felt backing. Pre 1968. Scarce.

Large Hand Painted Wooden Shield to the Northumberland Fusiliers
A large wooden shield which I imported from Canada many years ago. Apparently it was displayed in a military college in Canada. The WW1 pattern cap badge has been beautifully recreated in oils. Attractively engraved, "J.McD" in top corner, 1st Battalion 5th Fusiliers and has a scroll listing the Northumberland Fusiliers battle honours up to and including the WW1. The reverse is engraved "Cologne Germany1923".
