77th Foot (Middlesex Regiment) pre 1881 Unmarked Silver Pagri Badge
A large solid and finely cast unmarked silver white metal badge with its original stout pagri pin to reverse. Not sure if this was officer issue or regimental funded Indian mess waiter / bearer badge. It seems too well made to be the latter but happy to be corrected. In any event a scarce pre 1881 badge. Circa 5.5cms tall.

72nd (Duke of Albany's Own Highlanders) Regiment of Foot Other Ranks Feather Bonnet Badge, c1825 - 1881
A large stiff brass die struck badge with two original loops to the reverse (some bending with service wear but fully functional). Traces of the original gilt wash still evident in the nooks and crannies but mainly now back to a dark toned brass. The other pattern (K&K Vol 1 No 536) is wildly copied, but not this pattern which Bloomer claims was worn on the Feather Bonnet. Circa 8.8cms tall.... read more

Original 52nd Regiment of Foot ( Oxfordshire Light Infantry ) Glengarry Badge, pre 1881
A 'yellow' brass pre-territorial glengarry badge with two original brass loops to the reverse. The number "52" to the centre of a bugle horn with strings. See my item 54465, which contrasts an original item similar to this one with a frequently encountered reproduction.
