A good post 1911 British made die-cast rich gilt “TANGANYIKA TERRITORY” circlet with giraffe’s head to voided centre. Firmin, London on its original slider. Some minorwear but most of the markings on the giraffe's next still sharp. A couple of obvious die flaws where the two "T"s in the title strap have been struck otherwise a pleasing example. A UK made die cast gilt brass example of a charging Cape Buffalo (the most dangerous animal in Africa).
The badge has a softly polished look, with two original dark toned copper loops to the reverse. Some light staining to reverse. It has a pleasing quality and weight to it. As worn from 1937 - 1963.
