As worn on the pill box or peaked cap by many Volunteer Artillery Other Ranks across the Kingdom, a white metal grenade with seventeen flames (Grenadier Guards pattern but in white metal) with two original toned loops to the reverse but these have been reinforced or re-secured with lead solder. WW1 bronzed brass, King's crown, Jewish Chaplains cap badge for the Army Chaplains Department - Pagri fitting?
In good condition complete with original slider. Circa
4.6cms tall. Die cast with slider attached behind the crown. My only conclusion is that slider would have applied for wear on the sun helmet as regulations at the time did not permit the making of holes in such items for the wear in the sun helmet. Any information / thoughts welcome.
