334 Field Squadron Royal Engineers (TA) Flag (Tyne Electrical Engineers)

A possibly unique and one-off original collectible to 334 Field Squadron, Royal Engineers (TA) which was part of 132 Field Engineer Regiment RE. HQ Sunderland. Formed when the Tyne Electrical Engineers were reconstituted in 1947, with seven constituent units affiliated to it of which 334 Field Squadron was one. In 1961, it was absorbed into the Sunderland based 233 Field Squadron of 105 Construction Regiment (Tyne Electrical Engineers).

The flag has a looped off-white canvas side strip to take a pole and has a bottom attachment ribbon to secure it to a pole. Some damage to cloth with a few small holes and a few places where the material has thinned (see photos) otherwise in very good condition and rare. Circa 24inches wide and 14 inches tall.
