Infantry of the Line Mess Dress Trousers attributed to the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers
Marked inside to an officer in the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers 1939 ( A. H Duncan Esq, RNF ). This chap was tall, I guess over 6 feet 3 inches. Very slight service wear but no holes or repairs. Still has leather fasteners for fitting under the shoe heals, but one buckle with centre tongue / prong missing (easily repaired) . Victorian / Edwardian Northumberland Fusiliers Officer's Undress Field Service / Side Cap
In lovely condition with no moth or damage or pen marks. With two original officer's silver and gilt buttons with mounted devices and the pre 1904 pattern girdle and strap. The gold thread bullion grenade has no St George and the Dragoon device but it does not look to me as if it ever had one. Some wear to the bullion and it has darkened.
