The phrase here has to be " lovingly polished " and has therefore lost a lot of detail. An early pattern cap badge on two original lugs which have some signs of service wear.

The Green Howards ( Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own Yorkshire Regiment) (19th Foot) - 2nd Pattern Coronet Other Ranks White Metal Cap Badge - Edwardian Issue - Gaunt Tablet
Die struck cap badge in very good condition with two original loops and maker's tablet JR Gaunt London to reverse. This pattern worn from 1908 onwards until about 1910 when it was issued with a slider. Within the Regiment is was referred to as the "Eiffel Tower" badge. Rare.

Royal Berkshire Regiment White Metal Badge Pin Brooch - Victorian Regimental Police Arm Badge?
Circa 4.5cms in diameter, of two part construction in die struck white metal with original pin and c clasp fitting to the reverse. In very good condition with sharp detail. King's Royal Rifle Corps (KRRC) Blackened Brass Other Ranks Large Pattern Glengarry Badge, post 1881
Large post 1881 blackened brass die struck badge with two original loops to the reverse. Battle honours to Tel - el - Kebir. Circa 6.3cm tall and 4.7cm wide. Sharp detail with black finish in excellent condition. One very slight edge knock to bottom edge of Maltese cross, barely noticeable from the front.
