With two original hexagonal lugs to the reverse and still secured to its original vented backing plate, some signs of service wear and could do with a light clean. Worn from 1921 onwards by other ranks. Circa 4.6cm wide and 1.6cm tall excluding backing plate. Scarce.

Rare 3rd Kings Own Hussars Rearing Horse White Metal Facing Pair Collar Badges
A facing pair of die struck white metal cap badges with two original dark toned loops to the reverse of each. Line cavalry collar badges approved in 1898 - 1899. This design was not popular and quickly replaced by the running long horse variety. Not clear if ever issued for other ranks. Facing but not matching.

Ultra Rare Victorian Rearign Horse 3rd Kings Own Hussars Hallmarked Silver Rearing Horse NCOs Cavalry Arm Badge - 1889
The rare 1st pattern arm badge, hollow backed construction with two professionally replaced loops to the reverse. Marker's mark partly obscured but appears to be R&W (Reynolds & Westwood). Birmingham Assaye hallmarks and Letter P for 1889 (not the 1914 style of "P"). The tail separately cast and attached by the manufacturer, or also professionally repaired.

A brass shoulder title for the 1st King Edward's Horse / The King's Overseas Dominions Regiment, with two original loop fastenings. As worn from 1910 until disbanded in 1924. Scarce.
During WW1 the Regiment was broken up serving in a variety of roles in France and Italy. Some became mounted orderlies and KODR became the 'King's Own Despatch Riders' to the jeers of the infantry.
WW2 War Raised Unit - 23rd Hussars Officers Matched Silver Plate and Gilt Cap and Collar Badge Set
A stunning set of officers silver plated and gilt three part construction cap and collar badges with two original loops to the reverse of each. In very good condition. With sharp detail and bright gilt. A 'P' impressed to the reverse of the cap badge to signify silver plated. A very close match on the collars but not exact.

WW2 North Irish Horse (NIH) RAC Brass Shoulder Title
Large title with two original loops to the reverse.
Reformed in 1939 from a "one man regiment" and transferred to Royal Armoured Corps. Equipped with Churchills and then Sherman tanks. Landed in Algiers as part of the Tunisian Campaign in 1943 and then fought on up through Italy.
