Circa 19mm in diameter, fix shank and back marked JR Gaunt & Son Ltd, London, Engd, silver plated, in a plain line circle. It has some staining to front and wear to plate on hight points but this pattern is a very hard button to find.

A very scarce silver plated Victorian large pattern button, circa 24mm in diameter, close-backed, maker marked, but due to a crude application of a shaped slider with solder, it is hard to make out who. Circa 25mm in diameter, fixed shank and maker marked Hawkes & Co, Piccadilly, London, W. In good condition. This pattern worn circa 1881 - 1903. Some polishing to the detail of St George and gilt wash now mainly absent, otherwise in good condition.
