A gorgeous little badge of two part construction, maker marked Gaunt London and with two original silvered loops to the reverse. Circa 3cm tall. Fretted title on blue enamel backing, red white and green enamel to central rose in perfect condition. Worn as potentially a collar and in the field service cap.

A very fine looking cap badge of two part construction with two original long silvered loops to the reverse. Red velvet backing to crown with the Hampshire Rose in red enamel to the centre of a Garter Strap and title scroll in blue enamel, all mounted upon a multi-rayed and faceted star. An attractive die cast silver plated cap badge as worn by British Officers on the white Wolesley Tropical Sun Helmet from 1931 to 1941; and also as a trial pattern (not adopted in the end) for Gurkha Officers in 1962. In very good condition with sharp detail and two long silver plated loops to the reverse.

A two-part constructed cap star silver plated and gilt with green translucent enamel to centre and an original pin and C clasp fitting with safety clasp to the rear. Circa 5cms across. Worn on the Glengarry and Balmoral cap. Gilt now worn back to the brass, silver plate dark toned enamel intact and otherwise in good condition. An earlier example.

10th Princess Mary's Own Gurkha Rifles Officer's Silver Plated Cap Badge

Sealed pattern dated 15 July 1970 describes the officer's felt hat badge as being silver plate with a rhodium finish. I believe this to be such an example. In very good condition, some tarnish to the finish but on the whole in lovely condition with two original silvered loops to the reverse. This was the pattern authorised for wear from 1955 - 1994.
