The Wiltshire Regiment Officers Silver and Gilt Small Field Service Cap Badge, post 1954
A good scarce post 1954 die cast unmarked silver plated example with two original silvered long (13mm) lugs to the reverse with applied gilt Duke of Edinburgh's cypher. Silver bright, but with some wear to the plate finish otherwise in good condition.

The Wiltshire Regiment Officers Silver and Gilt Small Field Service Cap Badge, pre 1954
Of two part construction with two original long (13mm) copper lugs. The cross is silver marked with the letter "(S)" and maker marked JR Gaunt London. Silver dark toned, gilt a little dull, but in very good condition.

Beds and Herts - Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire Regiment Officers Beret / Field Service Cap Silver Plated, Gilt and Enamel Badge
A collar sized cap badge with two very long loops and of two part riveted construction, marked 'P' for silver plate and maker marked JR Gaunt London. The gilt now polished back to the brass. Blue enamel to centre looks a bit dusty but appears intact. Scarce.

56th Regiment of Foot (West Essex Regiment) Officer's Glengarry Badge
Worn from circa 1874 - 1881, a two-part riveted construction early glengarry with the castle in silver plate and the garter in gilt. Some dulling to gilt but detail is sharp. Original stout and functional pin fitting and C clasp to reverse. Circa 4.2cms wide and 5cms tall. A rare item.

The Regiment was formed in 1994, by the amalgamation of the Gloucestershire Regiment and the Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment (Berkshire and Wiltshire). In 2007, the Regiment was amalgamated with the Devonshire and Dorset Regiment, the Royal Green Jackets and The Light Infantry to form a new large regiment, The Rifles.
