A good scarce die-cast locally made silvered example. Circlet “GURKHA RIFLES”, to the voided centre a strung bugle with kukri, Princess Mary’s Cypher and “10” between the strings. Stout pin to reverse. Silver plate in very good condition, not worn through to the base metal.

This pattern worn circa 1953 until 1960, so worn for only a brief period of time.

6th Gurkha ( Queen Elizabeths Own ) Rifles Set of two Unmarked Silver Mufti Blazer Buttons (QEII crowns)

Each battalion of Gurkhas somewhat uniquely in the British Army had its own silversmith. These buttons were made by the regimental silver smith of the 6th Gurkha Rifles. They are flat, cast in unmarked silver and each has a silver shank. The larger of the two is circa 18.5mm in diameter and the smaller 12mm in diameter.
