Blue linen covered book with gilt Board of Trade badge. Internal cover named to "Barton A G". Served as a steward on board SS Megantic from 10/6/1913 - 21/4/1915 sailing to New York and Montreal from Liverpool.

Awarded the British War medal and Merchantile Marine and applied for his medals in 1920. A copy of his MIC medal card will be provided with the book. Albert George Barton was born in Liverpool in 1895 and also lived in Liverpool.

SS Megantic built in 1908 and was with the White Star Line and a predecessor of the Titanic. Served as a troop carrier from 1914-1919.

Contents a bit loose but all held safely in this fold over booklet.
