2nd ( Walker ) Corps Northumberland Rifle Volunteers Other Rank's Helmet Plate , circa 1880 - 1881

A universal pattern helmet plate with the title on the circle " 2nd NORTHUMBERLAND RIFLE VOLUNTEERS " with three original lugs to the reverse. Die stamped in white metal Circa 131mm tall and 106mm wide. Sharp detail and no damage to bugle and strings, but there are some very small stress fractures on the right of the central circle. Scarce as only worn September 1880 to circa June 1881, less than a year.
