Stunning Full Dress Royal Air Force RAF Master Aircrew Gilt Wrist Badge, QEII Crown

A stunning high gilt die cast two part construction badge with two original loops to the reverse and maker marked JR Gaunt London. Worn on the upper arm.

The Rank was equivalent to Warrant Officer Class 1, so one of the top dogs, but of course you did not salute them! I recall one account of an Army Sergeant questioning one of the (very old and bold) Masters as to whether he was sure that he was equivalent to a Warrant Officer! One could still hear the 're-education' 100yds away and several minutes later.
