Victorian Royal Irish Regiment Officers Pouch Badge, 1881 - 1902

A rare and extremely finely made pouch badge, die struck in bronze with a gilt finish and with three screw posts with original retaining nuts to the reverse. Circa 6cms wide and 5.5cms tall. I have not come across this pattern before but it has the correct motto on the circle "Virtutis Namurcensis Praemium" and "Royal" and "Irish" on either side of the sphinx at the base indicating it is Royal Irish Regiment. In good condition and rare.
