17th (Duke of Cambridge's Own) Lancers Edwardian Other Ranks Gilding Metal Czapska Helmet Plate

A fine scarce 4th pattern die stamped gilding metal other ranks cap plate. Battle honours inscribed to left side of the plate: "Alma", "Inkerman" and "Central India", to the centre bottom "South Africa 1900-02" and to the right side "Balaclava", "Sevastopol" and "South Africa 1879". Two of two original screw posts to the reverse. King's Crown. Traces of dried polish to front otherwise in very good condition.
