Suffolk Yeomanry Cavalry Large Pattern Gilt Brass Button

Circa 24mm in diameter, fixed shank, maker marked Firmin& Sons, London. Button looks mainly dark / black toned but evidence of gilt finish. An early button only worn c1875 - 1883. Scarce.

Ripley & Darmanin "Yeomanry Buttons 1830 - 2000" No 211 refers (found in gilt and brass).
