A scarce original Wartime official 1940-42 first issue pin fitting small unmarked silver uniform sleeve badge, the obverse impressed with the artist's initials 'KG' (George Kruger Gray), the reverse with registration number in relief 'Rd.837751'. A shark and two sea-mines on an anti-submarine net above the titles, " M S - A S " within a roped border surmounted by a Naval Crown. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings.
Height 30mm.

Designed by George Kruger Gray, approved by HM King George VI on 2nd February 1940.

Worn by personnel stationed at the "Swallow's Nest" in Lowestoft, Suffolk. engaged on Mine-sweeping and Anti-Submarine duties.
