Royal Army Medical Corps RAMC EDVII Dress / Piquet Sword

A good King Edward VII example, some spotting to original frosting and no scabbard, but otherwise in good condition. Serial number 6666 to the spine.
Blade length is circa 32.5 inches.

The blade is acid etched with the emblem and motto (In Arduis Fidelis) of the British Royal Army Medical Corps. The blade is firm in the copper and brass hilt. The fish-skin grip and twisted grip wire bindings are good. Gilt proof slug with letter P to centre indicating a sword made my Pillin of London. Pillin were one of the main competitors in terms of quality to Wilkinson swords and were acquired by them in 1922. Sadly, the Pillin register of sword owners has been lost so it is not possible to trace the original owner.
