2nd Battalion Band The Lincolnshire Regiment Musicians Brass Metal Foreign Helmet Pagri Badge

A die struck two-part construction brass unvoided example with two original loops (north -south) to the reverse. The centre disc is in a yellow brass and has been inserted and braised into a copper coloured brass star with King's Crown above. A reasonably large badge at circa 5.8cms tall. Initially a bit of a puzzle but as usual the BMBF came to the rescue where it is identified as the headdress badge worn by the Band of the 2nd Battalion of the Lincolnshire Regiment in Bermuda just prior to WW1 and was worn in the sun / tropical helmet as a pagri badge.
