Rare and Original Lothian & Border Horse Yeomanry Other Ranks Cap Badge

A rare badge, worn from 1908 until 1910 when the Imperial was removed and soon after replaced by just the plain garb or wheatsheaf without the scroll (Gaylor p89 refers) Original slider to reverse. There are a number of differences in the design of this badge from the numerous copies. A lovely die struck example, finely detailed and as per the example in K&K Vol 1 No 1466. Just one pointer, although there are many, note the horizontal '&'. On the copies the '&' is almost vertical. Ex Keith Hook collection.
