King Edward VIII Aide-de-Camp ADC insignia set

Aide-de-Camp gilt shoulder insignia in the form of the Royal Cypher for King Edward VIII, a Brigadier/Colonel's full size gilt button 26mm in diameter (maker marked Gaunt) with EDVIII monogram with two original loops and a pair of high quality aiguillette points in great condition with only slight tarnishing here and there to the gilt. Circa 11.3cms long and these which came with the above items. The holes for wear the Monarch's insignia would have fitted are in each point. See my item 55187 for another set showing how these would have appeared with the fittings applied. A scarce grouping to the King who was never crowned. Rare.

Edward VIII himself served as an Aide-de-Camp to Sir John French during WW1 when he was still the Prince of Wales.
