9th Lancers Officers Mess Dress / Hunt / Blazer Button

Circa 14mm in diameter, fixed shank, flat gilt button with engraged 9 over crossed lances. Maker marked but hard to read, but looks like Pitt & Co Maddox St, London. In very good condition. An early button. Scarce.
