WW1 Northumberland Fusiliers Other Ranks Brass Shoulder Title - Converted to Cap Badge

Hexagonal fixings neatly removed and a slider has been soldered into the reverse. Not sure the intention, OCA item or possibly done to the shortage of cap badges for the service battalions formed rapidly in the early days of WW1. Sold as seen.
