British Indian Army - Kumaon Regiment Officer's Silver Plated Cap Badge
A finely cast silver plated example with two original loops to the reverse. Circa 30mm tall. Worn from 1946 when the Regiment lost its connection with the Hyderabad State, taking the demi-rampant lion from the arms of the Russell family (a former incarnation of the Regiment as the 95th Russell's Infantry) above a scroll 'Kumaon'. In good condition with all fiddley present and correct. Allocated to India.
