Queen's Own Dorset Imperial Yeomanry Voided Gilding Metal Brass Cap Badge

Scarce king's crown voided bronzed brass die struck cap badge with two original loops to the reverse . A voided wreath of laurel with the title " Q.O. Dorset I.Y " to the centre of a crowned Garter Strap. Circa 1901 - 1908 only. In very good condition. Quite a lot of these are now found with the I neatly removed, no doubt once Imperial was dropped from the title post Haldane Reforms of 1908. A gorgeous example.
