1855 pattern black wool forge cap with flat peak and rifle green braid and top knot. Label to inside gives military outfitters details as G Phillips, Army & Navy Outfitters, Stonehouse. Leather lining still present and silk purple lining present but perished in places.

Introduced in 1941, circa 26mm in diameter struck in white metal. The King's Badge was awarded to British Forces personnel who had been invalided out of the services during WW2 and were entitled to a war disablement pension. They were both unnamed and unnumbered. In good bright and clean condition.

A stunning and scarce cap badge worn by this all white volunteer unit, three original blades to the reverse, circa 6cm tall, together with two accompanying large pattern buttons circa 22mm in diameter, fixed reverse states " Extra Superb " - says it all really! Some minor wear to gilt on buttons. Badge is the best condition almost mint.
