A quite stunning badge, heavy solid struck in one piece in what looks like unmarked Indian silver with original pagri fitting. Circa 6.7cms tall. The VRI monogram (adopted in 1877) is riveted to the centre and the casting is very fine but most probably locally made in India. A most attractive badge, die struck with two original dark toned lugs to the reverse and a number of braising / sweat / expansion holes to the reverse of the A. Some slight twisting to lugs otherwise in very good condition. This pattern worn until circa 1908.

Victorian White Metal British Volunteer Artillery Forage Cap Badge - Smaller Pattern
As worn on the pill box or peaked cap by many Volunteer Artillery Other Ranks across the Kingdom, a white metal grenade with seven flames with two original toned loops to the reverse. Circa 4.1cms tall. Lovely item. Circa 1860 - 1902. One sees the larger ten and fourteen flame versions much more often. There is also a Grenadier Guards style pattern with 17 flames but in white metal.

African NRG Northern Rhodesia Government Gilt Brass Shoulder Title
A gilt brass shoulder title with two original loops to the reverse and maker marked Dowler Birmingham to the reverse. Dowler made a lot of the colonial badges for the African nations. This title is not to be confused the Canadian National Reserve Guard who wore a similar title. As worn by a colonial administrator or government officer.

Indian Army - 7th Duke of Connaughts Own Rajputs Regiment of Bengal Infantry, Field Service Badge, 1901 - 1922
Worn by both battalions, the Roman Numerals VII in cast brass surmounted by a King's Crown and with fittings for a pin which has sadly been broken off but appears to be an easy repair. Circa 5.2cms tall and with some dark toning and a touch of verdigris. Could do with a light clean. Scarce find.

Indian Army - 19th Hyderabad Regiment Brass Shoulder Title
A good scarce British made brass shoulder title. Two original hex type lugs to the reverse with original orange felt backing. I am unclear as to which battalion the backing represented but the Regiment had been formed from six others with the re-organisation of the Indian Army in 1922 so perhaps its has some relevance. In very good condition with cotter pin.
