An Edwardian King's Crown blackened brass glengarry badge for the Border Rifle Volunteers. Some rippling and bending from service wear but in generally good condition complete with two of two original loops to reverse (some bending to these). Circa 53mm tall and 36mm wide. This unit was affiliated to the King's Own Scottish Borderers, becoming their 4th Battalion in 1908.

WW1 Fairfield (Scotland) On War Service Badge
Gilt and enamel lapel badge with buttonhole fitting makers details for Dingley Birmingham. The king's crown to the centre of a white enamelled circlet bearing the title, " On War Service Fairfield " Based on the River Clyde in Glasgow Fairfield 's were well known ship-builders. In very good condition, a few slight stress mark in enamel, but intact and gilt bright.

WW1 Royal Flying Corps RFC Stylized Brass Shoulder Title - Cut from Sheet Brass
An unusual pattern, possibly theatre made, not encountered before, and assumed to be related to Dominion air force units in South Africa or India, but happy to be corrected. Two original small thin loops soldered to reverse of thin cut brass sheet joined via a central strip "RFC". Reminiscent of the slouch hat badges cut from sheet brass in the Boer War. 105th Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers Corps (RVC) Glengarry Badge
This is a genuine and scarce example which is much copied. It is die stamped silver plate with two original silvered loops to the reverse. It appears to have a gilt wash finish on the oval motto srcoll. A really lovely example with sharp detail and of superb quality, possibly officer/senior NCO issue. Circa 5.4cms tall. Circa 1868 - 1880.
