A rare cast collar badge of two part construction with two orginal dark toned loops to the reverse. The rose in red and green enamel on a gilt rose surrounded by an open at top laurel wreath in silver plate. Small size silver plated badge with 2 original dark toned loops to reverse (not cut down from HPC). Worn on the field service cap in the 1890s. Circa 3cm wide and 2.3cm tall. In very good condition with no polishing to the tiger's stripes. Scarce.

A good scarce die stamped blackened metal example. Maltese cross surmounted by a Victorian crown; Lions between the arms of the cross which are inscribed "Dorset" "Rifle" "Volrs". To the voided centre , within a circlet inscribed " Pro Patria", a strung bugle. Three original loops to the reverse. In very good condition.
