WW2 India Service Medal 1939 - 45
Cupro-nickel medal, 36mm in diameter, with correct ribbon. This medal was awarded to officers and men of the Indian Forces for three years non-operational service in India - effectively it took the place of the Defence Medal in respect of Indian Forces.

British Copy of the German 1915 Sinking of the Lusitania Iron Medal
This iron medallion measures circa 55 mm in diameter and is circa 3mm thick. Regrettably it is missing its box.

In good unfolded condition with a few grubby marks to front. Reverse has pencil additions confirming he was born in Seaham Harbour and lived at New Seaham Colliery, County Durham, suggesting he was a miner.
CWGC confirms his regimental number as 15424 and he was a Battle of the Somme casualty, being killed on 16 September 1916 in France & Flanders, and he is commemorated... read more
