Boer War Vintage United South Africa Miners Patriotic Gilt Gold Prospectors Brooch Pin
Registered Design No 396342 (1902-3) to reverse. Original pin and fittings, fully functional. Design comprises a plough, pick and shovel with a 'gold nugget' on the shovel. Spade engraved 'United South Africa'. Some wear to gilt finish and scratches to the reverse otherwise in very good condition. Scarce.

Worn by veterans of the 1899 - 1902, 2nd Boer War with original horse shoe fitting for wearing in the lapel. Enamel a few slight marks but intact and gilt bright (slight touch of verdigris to right side). Maker marked Fenwick (feint stamping) / Birm ( Birmingham ) to rear. Circa 23mm in diameter. In very good condition.

Anglo - Boer War BMI Bethunes Mounted Infantry Brass Slouch Hat Badge
A large theatre made slouch hat badge. Circa 4.7cms wide and 2.1cms tall. Long tangs to the reverse to accommodate begin worn in a slouch hat. The smaller versions encountered have short thin round loops, synonymous with being worn as a shoulder title, but no doubt they could have been interchangeable. Slight staining, otherwise in very good condition.

Everlasting Silver Leaves From Table Mountain Cape Town South Africa. The silvered leaves are in good condition, with a stamped picture of army lines and blockhouses. In good overall condition and scarce. One leave looks like it has lost an edge otherwise all in good condition. "Everlasting" real leaves, certainly still good after 120 years! Rare in this condition.

Canada - Canadian Victorian QVC Boer War Large General Service Slouch Hat Cap Badge
A large die struck in browning copper with a gilt finish, unmarked, very crisp detail, two original n-s connector style flat loops, circa 6.4cms wide (to top right corner) and 6.5 cms tall . Stain to central letter A in Canada otherwise in very good condition and complete with turned-up maple leaf stem (So the owner was not a Mason! (see thread to unravel this statement!)). Scarce.
