WW2 5th (V) Corps Embroidered Cloth Formation Sign Flash Patch Designation
A white Viking ship picked out black with red cross on sail, all on a black background. Faces left. In very good condition.
Created in June 1940 the Corps saw extensive action and involvement in Operation Torch in 1942. It fought through the Tunisia Campaign and later the Italian Campaign.

Unissued condition, a very pleasing example with no damage or moth, bright colours.
The formation badge for the 56th Division during the Second World War featured Dick Whittington's black cat on a red background.
