Most probably a WW2 issue as no evidence of braising holes to reverse. A diamond back badge in the regiment's regimental colours (in equal portions) of gold yellow and dark maroon sewn onto a satin black material backing. The Royal Gloucestershire Hussars ( Yeomanry ) Brass Cap Badge - Dowler

A good heavy die struck cap badge with original slider which is maker marked " Wm. Dowler. ( B'ham ) ". This is one of several naming styles used by Dowler. This pattern of naming is correct, earlier than most and not often encountered. Scarce.

This pattern was worn post 1908, the portcullis is surmounted by a ducal coronet (the arms of the Dukes of Beaufort).

The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment Victorian QVC Gilding Metal 1st pattern Helmet Plate Centre (HPC)

With two out of four original lstaple style loops remaining otherwise in very good condition. Worn 1881 - 1902 on the Helmet Plate Centre and, until 1895, on the Glengarry. Dark toned.

Note the reduction in the size of the laurel sprays to accommodate the long regimental title. The crown above the rose changed to a king's crown in 1902.
