A theatre cast large and impressive badge, as worn as a baldrick badge by the bagpipers of the Regiment, with two original loops to the reverse. Circa 6.9cms tall. In the shape of a Chinthe seated facing left on a torse above the regimental number '8' and the scroll below "Punjab Regiment". Worn 1922 - 1956. Scarce.

King's crown above a OMNIA FACIMUS circlet resting in laurel sprays bearing tablet I.E.M.E.; five pointed star inscribed INDIA to voided centre. As worn from 1943 - 1947.

Of UK manufacture given it is die struck. Two original lugs to the reverse. Circa 3.9cms tall. In superb good condition. Post 1933.

Prior to 1933, known as the Bombay Light Horse, part of the cavalry reserve of the British Indian Army, . The badge was modified from "Horse" to Patrol" in 1933 to reflect their mechanisation as the Bombay Light Patrol.
