Pakistan - East Bengal Regiment White Metal Cap Badge

White metal badge (appears to have been silver plated) in the form of a Bengal tiger, with scroll with unit title, 'E. Bengal'. Two original loops to the reverse.

The East Bengal Regiment was formed in February 1948 after Pakistan declared independence. Raised in East Pakistan the unit became the core of Bangladesh independence forces in 1971.

A theatre cast example with two copper loops. Appears to have been silver plated. A Galley ship under sail with rowing oars deployed resting on a scroll inscribed "2nd PUNJAB REGIMENT".

A pair of non matching die struck shoulder title badges (one looks gilt brass and the other bronze), but they display reasonably well together from the front. The badges are in the form of a finial in the shape of an upraised hand superimposed on crossed sabres and a scroll bearing the unit title, 'Poona Horse'.
