A large and heavy die cast silver badge stamped "silver" with two original silvered loops to reverse (slight twisting). Circa 6cms tall. This particular design as worn from 1948 (raised lion's paw; earlier patterns with paw downwards).

South African Field Artillery - SAFA / 1 / ZAVA One Piece Bronzed Shoulder Title

South African bilingual Brass Shoulder title for the 1st Battery South African Field Artillery, worn 192 - 1923 only. A good bronzed example with two original loops to the reverse. Circa 3.5cms wide and 2.7cms tall. Good condition overall, originally blackened but that is mostly to reverse now. (For later pattern (see my 64916) had the spelling "SAVA" on the bottom row).

East Africa - Tanganyika Territory Officer's Pagri / Sun Helmet Badge - Firmin

A good post 1911 British made die-cast rich gilt “TANGANYIKA TERRITORY” circlet with giraffe’s head to voided centre. Firmin, London on its original slider. Some minorwear but most of the markings on the giraffe's next still sharp. A couple of obvious die flaws where the two "T"s in the title strap have been struck otherwise a pleasing example. South Africa - Cape Peninsula Rifles (CPR) Gilding Metal Helmet Badge, Pagri Fitting

A near mint die struck gilding metal example in unissued condition but with a slider presumably for wearing on the pagri band on the tropical / sun helmet. Raised in 1902. Disbanded in 1926. Helmet badges found in a variety of metals: white metal, bronze, gilding metal and blackened.
