Locally cast with gilt applied finish and two original loops to the reverse. Some service wear. At some point during WW2 the 5th were also allocated to Kenya. Scarce.

7th KAR King's African Rifles Facing Pair of Blackened Collar Badges
Theatre Cast facing blackened brass collar badges with two original lugs to the reverse. In very good condition. Circa 2.8cms tall.
The 7th KAR was formed in Zanzibar in 1917 with men from the Zanzibar Armed Constabulary and the Mafia Constabulary. Post WW1, it was reduced to a company and then merged with the 6th KAR. These are scarce.

South Africa - Durban Light Infantry (DLI) Small Pair of Matched White Metal Collar Badges
I am used to seeing larger white metal versions than these for the Durban Light Infantry so perhaps these were smaller officers' issues. Confirmation welcome. I do not believe these relate to the Durham Light Infantry. Circa 1.1cms tall and 3.4cms wide with two original 'D' shaped loops to the reverse of each.

An early full size example as worn on the slouch hat with three of three original loops to the reverse. Mounted wheel, fixed in place so does not turn. King's crown so pre 1952. Two of two original loops (some service wear) and it has its retaining strip to hold in place the red velvet backing disc. Queen's crown and worn circa 1957 to 1972. Circa 4.5cm tall. Some wear to black finish on the high points.

Transjordan, Emirate - An Arab Legion Headdress Cap Badge for the Regular Army of Transjordan 1920-1956
