New Zealand Volunteers QVC General Issue Brass 1878 Pattern Helmet Plate, 1882 - 1895
In good overall condition with two of two dark toned loops to the reverse. The bugle and garter pattern was replaced in 1895 with the plate with four stars. A yellow gilt brass metal die struck cap badge with two flat connector style loops to the reverse. Circa 5cms tall. Not as well struck as it could have been and silver solder to lugs (possibly contemporary replacements as this is usually found with flat hexagonal lugs). RD no 875 to front on either side of the NZ.
