In Memoriam Printed Card for the Loss of the British Airship R101 - includes Roll of Honour

The R101 airship crashed in France during its maiden overseas voyage on 5 October 1930, killing 48 of the 54 people on board. In good worn condition with two original loops to the reverse (slightly bent). This is the larger pattern as worn by Other Ranks. Circa 49mm wide by 16mm tall.

Westlake confirms that the straight RMA brass shoulder title was worn until 1923.

This green cloth beret has the cap badge of 8th Battalion DLI mounted on the felt cloth diamond of the 6th Battalion. In 1967, following a national Defence Review, the last two DLI Territorial Battalions were combined to form the 6th/8th Battalion DLI, which became part of the Light Infantry's Territorial and Army Volunteer Reserve.
