WW1 John V. Garbutt 19th Durhams DLI sheet brass match cover trench art
An attractive trench art brass match box cover. Some light staining and rust marks but generally good and nice item as attributed. The spine has been engraved "Arras" and the reverse has a rather good engraving of the Durham Light Infantry cap badge. The front has the soldier's name, J. Garbutt and regimental number 21/35and the battalion he was then serving with, 19th DLI.

Queen's Own Highlanders (Seaforth & Camerons) Staybrite AA Anodised Silver Top Part of Two Part Badge Gaunt London.
One part only of a twopart badge, a crowned thistle (QEII issue), in very good condition complete with lugs, maker marked JR Gaunt London, which dates it to pre 1970. Victorian White Metal British Volunteer Artillery Forage Cap Badge - Larger Pattern (Grenadier Guards Style)
As worn on the pill box or peaked cap by many Volunteer Artillery Other Ranks across the Kingdom, a white metal grenade with seventeen flames (Grenadier Guards pattern but in white metal) with two original toned loops to the reverse but these have been reinforced or re-secured with lead solder. WW1 Tyneside Scottish - 4th Pattern White Metal Glengarry Badge
Original die struck white metal cap badge in good condition with two original D shaped loops to reverse.
Also found with a pin fitting. As worn in WW1 by 20th , 21st , 22nd , 23rd and 29th (Service) Battalions, The Northumberland Fusiliers (Tyneside Scottish). This pattern was introduced in 1916 and not worn in WW2.
