74th Regiment of Foot (Later 2nd Battalion The Highland Light Infantry) Other Ranks Pewter Opened Back Button
In excavated condition missing shank, circa 21.5mm in diameter. Some crud stuck to reverse so unable to see whether there were any maker marks. Some loss of detail and definition to front but the crown, elephant, numeral '74' and battle honour 'Assaye' still very much discernable. Apparently recovered from the wreak of HMS Birkinhead.

Circa 25mm in diameter, floating shank and blank reverse. Some staining and verdigris to reverse and a few small stains on the number '2' otherwise in good condition and rare to find an other ranks 1855 - 1881 button in this condition with sharp detail and no dings or dents.

The Essex Yeomanry Officer's OSD Bronze Collar Badge - Gaunt Tablet
Die Cast in Bronze with two original D shaped loops and maker's tablet JR Gaunt / London to reverse of King's crown. This pattern was sealed in 1906, but the bronze OSD issues did not appear until post 1908. It is 33mm tall and 22mm wide. The motto is 'Audacter Et Sincere' ('Boldly and Truly').

The Essex Yeomanry - Three Different Patterns of Shoulder Title
Three different patterns being sold here as a single lot, all with two original loops to the reverse and in very good condition. Small Brass at 22mm wide and 10mm tall (smaller than Westlake's 350 according to Wood), larger Anodised at 27mm wide and 14mm tall and larger still in Brass at 29mm wide and 17mm tall. The small one and AA version are particularly rare.
