Post 1922 Officers small size frosted silver plated / gilt and enamel cap badge with two long loops. An acorn with leaves on a ground of green enamel to the centre of a circlet bearing the title, upon a multi-rayed hob-nail star. The line above the tip of the acorn is camera flash reflection. In superb undamaged condition.

Of two part die struck and overlaid construction with two original silvered loops. and maker marked Hamilton & Co. Calcutta to reverse. In very good condition with all fiddly bits present and correct. Raised in 1911, re-designated in 1917 as the 44th Calcutta Scottish and in 1920 as the Calcutta Scottish. Lovely design to centre. Scarce.

A theatre cast large and impressive badge, as worn as a baldrick badge by the bagpipers of the Regiment, with two original loops to the reverse. Circa 6.9cms tall. In the shape of a Chinthe seated facing left on a torse above the regimental number '8' and the scroll below "Punjab Regiment". Worn 1922 - 1956. Scarce.

The Corps of Indian Engineers was former in 1932 and pattern of badge was worn from January 1932 until 1950. A five pointed star of India within a laurel wreath, title below inscribed "Indian Engineers". This one appears to be die cast with two original loops to the reverse and as been wartime blackened.
