A cast unmarked silver example with two original loops to the reverse. A seated crowned Chinthe facing left on a torse above the scroll 'Civis Sed Miles' (A citizen but a soldier) with a further scroll below that with the words "RESERVE Bn. B.M.P." An early title, predating the granting of the title "Royal" in 1921. Worn from circa 1894. Circa 15mm tall and 28mm wide. Would originally have been all blackened, but this appears to have been cleaned back mainly to the brass. Two original hexagonal fixing loops to the reverse. In good worn condition.
