King's crown silver cap badge with two squeezed in loops with makers details for " Barton" and a " Silver " stamp to the reverse. The crowned 3D head of a mountain goat above the tri-part title scroll, " South Waziristan Scouts". Silver dark toned and apart from the nipped in loops in very good condition with sharp detail. 23rd Regiment of Foot (Royal Welch (Welsh) Fusiliers) Officer's Waist Belt Clasp (WBC) pre 1881

Scarce pre-1881 officers silver and gilt, the "Small plumes / large numbers" pattern waist belt clasp. The Prince of Wales's plumes above the number "23" to the centre of a circlet bearing the title with plain squared rococo scrolled belt loops to each end. Some dark toning to silver otherwise gilt bright and in good condition. No benchmarks evident but a good tight match.
