A small brass medallion, circa 23mm in diameter, suspended from a narrow strip of patriotic ribbon. Some staining to obverse and dulling to the finish.

This is the first pattern of this medal (as issued between 1921 and 1937) with correct ribbon, which is correctly impressed to:

Burger S.J.H. De Lange of the Pretoria Commando.

RCI (Royal Corps of Invalids) Royal Hospital Chelsea Large Pattern Victorian Brass Button

Circa 26mm in diameter, floating shanked and maker marked DOLAN & Co ST MARTINS LANE LONDON (Military clothing retailer 1835-1888 at the St Martins Lane address). Gilt 50% remaining and the button is of a semi-flat style rather than high domed.
