KOYLI Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry Bi-Metal Helmet Plate Centre (HPC)

Complete with its four original loops and of two part construction with a white metal rose to the centre. one pin hole in the thick dark green (almost black) backing cloth. HPC very good condition.

It is interesting to note that this is one of the very few HPCs with the laurel-sprays on the circlet on account of the length of the title.

A fine slip on shoulder title with embroidered initials and printed formation combination mounted on a khaki drill slip-on. In very good worn condition.

The 82nd (West African) Division was formed under British control during the Second World War. It took part in the later stages of the Burma Campaign and was disbanded in Burma between May and September 1946.

An unmarked silver circlet inscribed 'For King And Empire Services Rendered' bearing crowned 'GRI' Imperial Cypher to voided centre, to which a red felt backing has been added, presumably by the owner, so I have left this in place.
